'Green grass, fly a kite. Go ahead and I will follow.' Three minutes before the class, we can always hear the antique chanting in the classroom. This semester students from Grade 4 are recommended to read the simple, exquisite and fast-paced '100 Pieces of Ancient Chinese Proses for Elementary School Students'. During the two months' reading, students’ love for ancient Chinese proses is getting deeper and deeper.
On 6th November, each class held the activity of 'Reading the Little Ancient Chinese Proses'. Students recited by themselves and then checked with their deskmates to see who was reciting faster and more accurately. During the competition, students were highly concentrated. The reading sounds filled the entire classroom and finally three 'Reading Stars' were selected for each class.
To sum up, through this activity, students have set off a wave of reading little ancient Chinese proses, effectively implemented the requirements of the new curriculum standard to carry forward the essence of national culture and strengthened the traditional cultural heritage and moral cultivation of students as well.
